It used to be that Autodesk Revit only ran on Windows. However, you can run Revit on your Mac by installing Windows on your Mac. There are two ways to do this: Boot Camp and via a Virtual Machine (VM).
As of December 2015, from Autodesk University 2015 in Las Vegas, Autodesk has certified Revit for the Frame Cloud platform. This version of running Autodesk Revit via the cloud puts Revit in a browser on your Mac. It could be Chrome, Safari or other compliant browsers, but it is in the browser, not running as a fully native OS X application. Stay tuned for further developments in this area.
