Autodesk's Home Use Policy provides a great benefit to Autodesk Subscription customers. The Home Use policy allows the Autodesk licensee to install a second copy of the software program at a second location away from your office location under the following conditions:
This Home Use benefit only applies to those with a current Autodesk subscription and only to the number of licenses of the software program that are under Subscription.
See the Autodesk Subscription Terms and Conditions for further detail.
Autodesk Subscription customers with eligible products on a current Subscription may install a home use license. Network license holders must apply to obtain a companion standalone serial number. The Home Use policy only applies to commercial licenses.
Most Autodesk products are eligible. In general, enterprise / server based products, and those that do not require activation, are not eligible for Home Use. NFR (Not for Resale) and EDU (Education) licenses are not eligible.
See the complete list: Home Use Software - Eligible Product List
If you have a standalone license that you wish to use at home, you do not need to apply. If you have a network license, you must apply to obtain the companion standalone serial number.
Standalone license holders should install their Autodesk software on the home computer using the original Autodesk media, then use the existing serial number to obtain the appropriate authorisation code.
Network license holders should fill out the Home Use License Application (HULA) and send it to Autodesk as instructed. When the approval is received from Autodesk, follow the instructions.
Please see Requesting a License to Use Software at Home for detailed instructions.
The Home Use Program treats a Multi-seat Standalone license like standalone - you can use your primary license serial number to activate an installation on a home machine.
If I have Desktop Subscription, can I use my software at home?
Yes. Desktop Subscription is based on a Named User model, which allows customers to install and use their software on multiple machines based on their Autodesk ID. See the Autodesk Subscription Terms and Conditions for further detail.
Subscription customers may sign in to their Autodesk Account for further details.
Note: Not all products are available in all languages or regions. Home Use is available only for the listed Subscription products in your region
